About an hours drive from the heart of Darwin you will find Berry Springs, a natural swimming pool full of fish but safe to swim in during the dry season, after NT Parks and Wildlife confirm it is safe to swim.

There is a beautiful monsoon walk within the Nature park where you can see and enjoy the Northern Territories beautiful and varied flora and fauna. After walking through the monsoon walk, take a dip in one of the two pools and follow that with a barbecue in one of the barbecue areas provided for the public.

Nearby there is the Territory Wildlife Park, the Darwin River Tavern or Berry Springs Tavern, Tumbling Waters where there is accommodation and camping facilities and another short drive away, Mandorah.
