Lovely beach and path walking routes

If you like a walk and also want to find out more about Darwin’s history during World War Two then this is the perfect location. Starting off around the Lake Alexander area you will find a very well laid out walking/biking track meaning you can avoid the traffic.

The Council have set out several outdoor work out areas which are great to break up your walk or if you prefer to work out outdoors.

There are a number of remnants from World War Two and information points where you can find out what happened in the area. At the end of the walk there is the Darwin Military Museum which is well worth stopping into if you want to learn more about Australia’s war history.

There is a mangrove walk of approximately 2.5km which will provide you with some beautiful views out to sea.

The cliffs along the beach are also stunning with all sorts of colours carved out in them by the sea making the beach walk as lovely as along the path.
