Walker Creek in Litchfield National Park is just another stunning place to camp

With 8 camping sites which are walk-in only and strung along Walker Creek like pearls on a necklace.

And pearls they are, sitting right along the creek at suitable swimming holes each with sufficient space between to make them very private.

The sites vary in size from 1-2 tents to 3-4 tents, with the first one a few hundred metres from the carpark and the furthest nearly 2 km. It’s first come best dressed and they are popular in the dry season.

You will need to bring plenty of drinking water as the trek in can get hot
