A very popular campground for a good reason, Douglas Hot Springs it is located right next to the hotsprings and Douglas River, ideal for either having a hot soak or a cool swim.
This campground is fairly large, accessible to non-4WD and campervans and very poplar with families. It can get a bit crowded and also noisy in the high season and campers spill out in between the trees along the banks of the river.
Some areas of the campground are quite exposed to the sun, others under shady trees. Try and get there early.
It has toilets and running water. An added bonus is that from here starts the 4WD track to Butterfly Gorge (about 20km)
